peanut allergy symptoms

Peanut Allergy Emergency?

If someone who is allergic to peanuts accidentally ingests something with nuts and begins to show symptoms of Anaphylactic shock(difficulty breathing, swallowing, etc) What can be done if they DO NOT HAVE ephinephrine? While they are still conscious, could they try to do something to increase their heart rate/get their adrenaline going such as sprint a short distance or get roughed up? I know, I know… this sounds ridiculous, but I’m talking theoretically…

There is nothing outside of immediate medicinal treatment that can prevent further damage (and possible death) from occuring. It is dangerous to even toy with the idea of increased physical activity where anaphylactic reactions are concerned. How would a person going into anaphylactic shock be capable of sprinting in any case, they would most likely be in such distress that any physical activity would be near impossible. In any case, a person who knows they have such a severe reaction should always be prepared with the epi-pen and benadryl.
Hope this answers your question.

eyelid allergy treatment

Almost turning into exzema?

I have allergies and I tend to scratch my eyes often. It seems like the skin around my eyes (eyelids) have been getting dry and turning into exzema. I don’t particularly HAVE exzema.., but what are some treatments to prevent it from breaking out?

Get an intense face moisturizer and moisturize daily. Try not to scratch at your eyes, even though it does itch badly (I have psoriasis and I know how bad it can be). Try to treat your allergies with something like Claritin instead. It could save your eyes, and your skin :)
