red ant bites itch
I was bitten by a ant in the yard in Pueblo Colorado, having a hard time with the species.?
The other day I was kneeling in the yard and I felt a sharp pain on my leg, I knocked it off my leg, it was a ant, it had a red body and a big black head. At first it bled a little, and was a little red. But a few minutes passed, it began to hurt bad, so bad that it hurt to move my knee. It swelled a little, you could see the pores in that area, and the bite began to turn red. The pain lasted the whole day. And now it blistered and itches real bad, but the pain went away. Now my question is what kind of ant was this. Location: Pueblo, Colorado, Suspect: Ant, red body, big black head, Damage: Severe pain, swelling, subsiding to itching, blistering and redness. I looked it up on the web, but still stuck, I have never seen this type of ant other than at my brothers. Does anyone no what species this may be?
